Obituary:

Dylan Lee Martin was born January 9, 1997 in Rowlett, Texas to parents Kyle Wesley and Karen (Miller) Martin.  

Dylan lived in Murphy until age 12 then moved to Wylie with his mom. He had many friends from his time in both places. He loved school and being able to participate in Boy Scouts and ROTC. He attended St. John’s Military School for one year and loved the staff and the friends he made while there.

Dylan was a loving son, brother to Carissa and Tasha, Boy Friend, nephew, grandson and cousin. He was blessed with a large extended family and he enjoyed family gatherings and getting to spend time with his Haskell and Seymour family members.

His favorite hobbies included playing video games and playing his guitars and singing with his friends in their band. He was a very talented singer and song writer. He was a huge Star Wars and Harry Potter fan and he loved to travel and see new places and go camping. Born and raised in Texas, but his heart loved Colorado and he had plans to move there someday.

Dylan had a huge golden heart and loved deeply and loyally and was super witty. People were naturally drawn to him. He will truly be missed.

Dylan is survived by his loving mother Karen (Miller) Martin and her boyfriend Keith Sheffield; maternal grandfather Don L Miller; girlfriend Alexa Roberson, aunts and uncles Mark Miller and his wife Tammy, Kathy (Miller) Hartmann and her husband Scott, Christie Jean Martin, Robert Keith Martin and his wife Tina, Candace Potanka and her husband Paul, cousins Carissa Hartmann and her fiance Justin Wolfe ,Tasha Hartmann, Rick, Rob, Brannon, Tommy and Katie Martin and many other loving family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Kyle Martin, paternal grandparents William Wesley and Clydeen Martin, Bobbie Jean Martin, maternal grandmother Sandra (Walker) Miller and cousin John Wesley Potanka.  

There will be a memorial service to celebrate Dylan’s life Monday, February 3, 2020 at 6:30 P.M. at Allen Family Funeral Options, Plano, Texas.
